The windows opened are webstandards compliant popups. And there is no for you to add "hooks" of any kind to your page. Some similar scripts require that you manually edit each and every link, adding rel attributes with some special value. Hardly a time-saver. Not so with divaPOP. It automatically detects links to external webpages and/or to pdf files, and on-the-fly in the browser adds a javascript behavior and a class.

Most modern browsers allow the user to control whether requested popup windows will open as new windows, or as new tabs. divaPOP does its best to open in a new window, but may be forced to open in a new tab instead.
