- the text "www.example.com" is converted to "www.example.com"
- the text "noone@example.com" becomes a mailto: link "noone@example.com"
In addition to the automatic linking, options are offered to:
- add a subject to the mailto: link
- replace the visible email address with boilerplate text
- add "rel=nofollow" to the created <a> tag
- insert <wbr> tags to allow conditional wrapping of long urls and email addresses
